This very short diary must begin:

Tim Robbins nationally recognized actor/producer/director was to give an address to the National Association of Broadcasters early in the week in Las Vegas.  He came out and started by saying that he would not give his planned address but would rely on "other means" (ie the blogosphere, U tube etc) to get his message accross.      

JD Hayworth Rethug Congressman in Arizona #5 was once voted in the Washingtonian survey of 1200 congressional staffers (from both parties) as the biggest blowhard in congress.   In this years poll he has slipped to 2nd place. He actually brags that he is disapointed in this!  See the Wiklpedia reference below the fold.  

The great news is that Hayworth is in real danger of being booted out of congress  by a great Democratic  candidate Harry Mitchell. Check out the latest poll results below the fold.  

 

Call Washington now and tell your congressperson as I have just called Congressman Inglis (R) of South Carolina:  

I just called the Washington DC office of my congressman, Bob Inglis (R) of South Carolina and told him:

I have just read the resolution by Congressman John Murtha calling for the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld.  I totally support Murtha. I have written him telling him of my support.
I will be spending the rest of this week writing other congressmen in support of Murtha.

I then went on to say:

In remberence of those who died I need to  show appreciation for these selfless public servants who get little real recogniton or support from our government leaders.
